The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nice strikes from Deane there. Mile blocking the ground and pound attempt from Deane. Mile on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. #SUB# Mile actively working from the bottom here. Deane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mile defending well though. Deane is looking to advance position but Mile won't allow it. Mile is staying active underneath Deane, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Deane is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Mile is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Deane pulls his head out easily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Deane connects with a nice short shot to Mile's temple. We've been told by Dayton's head coaches at Wolfpack Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nejc throws a hook but Dayton blocks it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dayton, as that shot connected.
