This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Aliev just misses with a elbow thrown towards Putin's brow.
Aliev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fighter A fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fighter B to the ground. Fighter A is now in Fighter B's guard.
Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B is working from the bottom.
Fighter A is fighting to break Fighter B's control of his arms but Fighter B is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.#SUB2#
Fighter A got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fighter B has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fighter A has managed to get both his arms back between Fighter B's legs - danger averted.
Fighter A works over Fighter B with some ground and pound from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akhmed Kurbanov.
