#R1# Norton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.#TD# Norton tries to sprawl but Steele drives through with a takedown into half guard. Steele knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norton on the ground. Steele stops Norton from getting back to his feet.
Norton is not content to let Steele control the position. Norton manages to get to full guard.
Steele sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steele trying to control but Norton is working from the bottom. #T1# Norton keeping full guard, as Steele tries to pass. Steele has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Norton has momentary wrist control but Steele slips an elbow through the middle. Norton keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully. #SU# Norton is working an open guard so Steele takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.#CL2# Norton rushes Steele and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#BC2# Norton breaks the clinch.

Steele shoots in looking for a takedown but Norton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steele's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Steele tries to close the distance and clinch up but Norton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steele tries to clinch but Norton is having none of it. Norton swats away the attempt to clinch by Steele. Steele stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steele wants it to stay on the feet.#TD# Steele shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Norton napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steele moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Steele looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Norton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Norton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Daigle's coach down at Crapollas Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Daigle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Daigle tries to clinch but Maynard moves out of range. Daigle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maynard.
Maynard has his takedown stuffed#TD2# and Daigle counters with a single leg into guard. Maynard didn't expect that. #ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Maynard manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.#TD# Maynard pulls Daigle into guard.
Maynard being controlled here, momentarily. #SU2# Daigle gets to his feet. Maynard looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nice sprawl there from Maynard as Daigle shoots in. Maynard shoots in but no luck this time. Daigle is looking for the big counter here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maynard tries a head kick but it misses.

Biglands is in big trouble!#ROC# Biglands is rocked! Biglands throws a right and a left that both miss. Dirkschneider fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Biglands avoids it really well and circles away. Dirkschneider tries to close the distance and clinch up but Biglands swats him away and circles back towards the center. Biglands tries to counter by closing the distance. Horrible takedown attempt by Dirkschneider or perhaps it was just good defense by Biglands, which made it look bad. Dirkschneider shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Biglands as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Udo Dirkschneider. That's going to take a lot out of him.
