#TD# Amidon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tested tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Amidon is in Tested's guard.#ES2# Tested has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Amidon is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Amidon is working for takedown but Tested is calmly controlling the position for now. Tested is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.#BC# Amidon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tested shoots in and drives through. Amidon sprawls well.#TD# Tested tries to sprawl but Amidon drives through with a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Tested wants to improve his position but Amidon is controlling well.
Amidon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tested on the ground. Esparta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Somerset manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Somerset with the counter takedown but Esparta avoids it easily. Esparta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Somerset.
Esparta seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Esparta throws a head kick that misses. Somerset swings for the body but Esparta moves out of range.
Esparta keeps the fight on the outside. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Somerset. #CL# Esparta rushes Somerset and presses him up against the cage. Esparta goes for a double leg but Somerset avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Somerset continues to drive forward. Somerset takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Somerset throws a wild hook but Esparta just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Somerset gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Esparta raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

The fighters circling - Amidon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. #TD# Amidon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paixao's guard. Amidon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Amidon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
