And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Ergun Cerrahoglu!
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL2# Cerrahoglu instigates a clinch. Diokane tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cerrahoglu has Diokane pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Diokane manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cerrahoglu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Cerrahoglu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cerrahoglu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diokane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. John Diokane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ergun Cerrahoglu. Cerrahoglu is working for takedown but Diokane is calmly controlling the position for now. Diokane tries to score a body lock takedown but Cerrahoglu shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Diokane is working for a takedown up against the ropes. And that's the end of the fight! Mangrove takes the fight on points by 15 to 8. After the fight, Alka Mangrove was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Tyson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head. Smith throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tyson. Awut Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyson misses the jab. Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith swings away with a leg kick that misses. Smith slips a jab from Tyson. A big left from Tyson misses. Tyson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tyson scores with a nice right hand.
A jab from Tyson does it's job there. Smith finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick letting Tyson counter with a right hand. Tyson lands with a straight right. Smith didn't see that one coming. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tyson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Tyson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Mike Tyson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside. Tyson misses the jab. It looked like Smith wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Tyson off the ropes and back into range. Tyson wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance. Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Smith does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A lazy left from Tyson finds it's target. Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tyson sees it coming and avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Tyson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick misses from Smith. Tyson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Smith misses with a low kick. Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T1# Smith scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Smith is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tyson. Tyson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Smith throws a leg kick but Tyson sees it coming and checks it nicely. Smith moves away from the strike by Tyson. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Tyson. Tyson misses with a jab, cross combination.

That was a close second round but I would say that Awut Smith will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Smith will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tyson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Smith catches Tyson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow Tyson down. Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Smith moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Smith lands a two punch combo.
#T2# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith throws a front kick aimed at Tyson's knee but Tyson avoids it well. Tyson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smith. Smith tries to score with a low kick but Tyson moves his leg out of the way. Tyson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tyson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Smith misses with a leg kick. Smith slips under a jab. As Tyson backs away, Smith returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tyson loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch. Tyson misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming. Tyson closes the distance but Smith moves to the side and Smith makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Awut Smith showed his dominance in that final round. Well Smith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jackson tries to bum rush Crabtree with a series of wild strikes but Crabtree uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Crabtree lands a slapping body shot.
Crabtree throws out a powerful jab. Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crabtree was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson. Crabtree lands with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diokane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teddy is working away from the top position though. London is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Diokane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Diokane moves to back control. #SUB# Diokane tightening his grip on London, looking for the choke. Diokane just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Can Diokane finish him?#SUB# Diokane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boy defends it well. Still in half guard, Diokane seems content to control. Boy seems to have recovered his senses. Diokane passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Boy! Diokane controlling from the full mount. Boy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diokane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T1##SUB# Diokane has control of Boy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
