A looping hook to the body misses from Pérez. Morrison does a little dance to reset his feet. Pérez thuds his right hand into Morrison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pérez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morrison moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Morrison on the wrong end of a nice jab. Pérez loads up on a big right hand but Morrison slips the punch. Pérez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Morrison throws a body punch but Pérez moves out of range. Morrison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pérez but Pérez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pérez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Morrison ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Morrison wants to slow Pérez down by chopping away at his legs. Pérez loads up on a big right hand but Morrison slips the punch. Morrison half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. St. Georges throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ishinoba stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. St. Georges changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. St. Georges with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
We've been hearing reports that St. Georges has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. St. Georges connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ishinoba. Ishinoba circles away out of range and recomposes himself. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ishinoba checks a leg kick. Ishinoba throws a leg kick but St. Georges sees it coming and checks it nicely. St. Georges swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. St. Georges scores with a hook to the body. Ishinoba takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ishinoba takes one to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! St. Georges throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. As St. Georges backs off Ishinoba throws a huge counter combo but St. Georges manages to avoid it all. St. Georges avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Amagov looking to pass the guard. Amagov looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Amagov trying to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Amagov is keeping the position for now. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.#T1# Amagov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. #R1# Laithwaite gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slice. We've been told by Slice's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Laithwaite tries to close the distance and clinch but Slice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Laithwaite walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Laithwaite wants to clinch. Laithwaite slips a straight right by Slice. Good leg kick by Slice. Slice connects with a jab. Slice dips to his left and cracks Laithwaite with an uppercut! Laithwaite moves out of range as Slice throws a body kick.

Tugan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.#TD2# Tugan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tugan landing some decent shots from guard. Tugan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Thomas is looking for a triangle but Tugan pushes his legs off easily.
Tugan won't allow Thomas to get back to his feet. #T1# Tugan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Thomas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#TD2# Tugan scores with a takedown into Thomas's guard. Tugan stands up over Thomas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Tugan wants to stand but Thomas is controlling his posture from full guard. Tugan tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomas is retaining full guard. Tugan controlling the action here. Thomas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tugan is working away from the top position though. Thomas wants to improve his position but Tugan is controlling well.
#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tugan wants to pass the guard but Thomas is defending well. Thomas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Thomas wants to sweep here but Tugan controlling him for the moment. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Thomas throws a combination. Tugan tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Thomas keeps the fight on the outside. Tugan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Thomas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. #T1# Thomas can't do much from the bottom here. Thomas is trying to work for a sweep but Tugan has mounted him! Thomas tries to improve his position but instead Tugan has taken his back! #SUB2# Tugan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Thomas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Nicely done.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet. Tugan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Thomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ieuan Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khorchi Tugan.#TD2# Tugan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Thomas tries to bench press Tugan off him but Tugan keeps the position.
