#R1##TD2# Oliveira shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Garner Jr's guard. Garner Jr is trying to control the position but Oliveira postures up. Oliveira is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Oliveira stands and throws Garner Jr's legs to the side, diving into side control. Oliveira has control of an arm but Garner Jr manages to advance to Oliveira's back!#SUB# Oliveira is having to fend off submission attempts from Garner Jr, who is looking to sink in the choke. Garner Jr doesn't have the hooks in though and Oliveira manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Oliveira is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #T2# Oliveira passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oliveira working away.#SUB2# Oliveira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Garner Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB2# Oliveira is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Garner Jr has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oliveira controls the position from side control.#T3# Garner Jr tries to buck Oliveira off but Oliveira is having none of it. Oliveira is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Garner Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliveira takes a little break here. Garner Jr wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Let's hope that Oliveira has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like Oliveira might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marlon Oliveira dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD# Garner Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Oliveira looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Oliveira is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Oliveira has control of Garner Jr's left arm, preventing Garner Jr from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garner Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #T1##SUB2# Oliveira has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Garner Jr doesn't defend quickly enough and Oliveira has managed to lock this one up! Can Garner Jr escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Oliveira on a fantastic submission victory.
