The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dupoklep throws a series of punches but Stankevics moves out of range. Dupoklep throws a leg kick but Stankevics checks it. Stankevics is looking to counter the offense by Dupoklep and move into the clinch. Dupoklep clinches with his opponent.
Stankevics goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dupoklep prevents it.
Stankevics gets a trip takedown into half guard. Stankevics thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dupoklep's head. Stankevics performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dupoklep pushes Stankevics off looking to stand but Stankevics dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dupoklep won't allow Stankevics to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stankevics throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dupoklep to regain full guard. Stankevics pushes down on Dupoklep's leg and manages to get into half guard. Stankevics trying to control the pace. Stankevics trying to mount his opponent but Dupoklep defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Stankevics performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Stankevics is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Dupoklep manages to get to full guard. Stankevics slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dupoklep scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Dupoklep fails in his attempt to clinch. Stankevics changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dupoklep looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Stankevics controls the position. Dupoklep takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Stankevics controls the position. Stankevics lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stankevics taking a breather here. Stankevics wants to stand but Dupoklep is controlling his arm. Dupoklep is trying to escape the position but Stankevics is controlling the position. Stankevics goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dupoklep has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stankevics but great work by Dupoklep. Stankevics on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stankevics tries to get out of the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stankevics wants to get back to his feet. Stankevics tries to strike but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Janis Stankevics will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dupoklep throws a leg kick that is checked and Stankevics counters with a shoot takedown. Dupoklep fights it but they end up in guard. Dupoklep wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Stankevics manages to pass to side control. Stankevics is taking a breather. Dupoklep says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stankevics working Dupoklep over with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stankevics controlling the action here.

Stankevics is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stankevics takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dupoklep is in trouble now - Stankevics has advanced to mount! Stankevics misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Stankevics won't let Dupoklep get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Stankevics looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Dupoklep is breathing heavily. Stankevics lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dupoklep hang on? Stankevics connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dupoklep is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Stankevics content just to control the position here. A nice elbow there by Stankevics. Stankevics get's back to his feet. Dupoklep tries to land a body kick and Stankevics counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stankevics keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dupoklep's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stankevics controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Stankevics decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Stankevics shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dupoklep manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dupoklep is wriggling around but Stankevics manages to pass to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janis Stankevics dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Is there anything that Dupoklep can do to turn this around? Stankevics remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Dupoklep takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stankevics tries to advance to mount but can't. Dupoklep is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Stankevics controlling his opponent. Stankevics working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stankevics jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dupoklep manages to avoid the submission attempt. A lull in the action here. Dupoklep pushes Stankevics away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stankevics gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stankevics moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stankevics misses with a low kick.
Rajmundo Dupoklep has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Janis Stankevics is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dupoklep is looking to chop away at Stankevics's legs.
And that's the end of the fight! Janis Stankevics showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stankevics, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
