Marin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Whu has him pressed against the cage. Marin is trying to maintain a safe position but Whu gets an underhook and turns Marin into the cage. Whu gets through Marin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Whu prevents Marin from breaking the clinch. Whu tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Marin avoids it. Marin is trying to drag Whu to the mat but Whu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Whu pushes off an throws an elbow but Marin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Marin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marin taking a breather. Marin can't get the takedown.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bean throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #CL2# Bean instigates a clinch. Seefeldt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bean.
#BC2# Bean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bean avoids a kick to the body.
Seefeldt swings away with a leg kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seefeldt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Seefeldt looks to land a right hand but Bean moved out of range. Seefeldt misses with a leg kick #TD2# and Bean counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Seefeldt wants to get back to his feet.
Bean wants to stand up but Seefeldt has a hold of him and won't allow it. #T1# Bean controlling the action here. It looks like Bean might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Bean looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bean is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! #SUB2# Bean with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
#T2# Seefeldt is in a horrible position here. Bean smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Seefeldt tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bean postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Seefeldt looks a forlorn figure.
Bean tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bean's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T3##SUB2# Bean is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Seefeldt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Seefeldt shrugs it off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seefeldt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Seefeldt wants to control but Bean is having none of it. Bean controlling from mount. Seefeldt is trying to get back to his feet but can't. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Seefeldt is looking to improve his position but Bean isn't that keen on the idea. Bean punishing his opponent with strikes. Bean cracks Seefeldt with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bean looking to control and managing it successfully. Bean landing strikes from the mount and Seefeldt is in trouble! Seefeldt is trying to escape the mount.

He shot from a bit too far out. Bean just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSeefeldt.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Seefeldt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
