We've been hearing reports that Warren has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Warren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wilder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Warren defends it nicely. Wilder fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dexter Warren. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Warren, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. #SUB# Hayes drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Hayes as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rua screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Hayes! Nice submission victory there!

Kondo passes into half guard. Garcia wants to get back to full guard. Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kondo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garcia is concentrating on defense, preventing Kondo from advancing position. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kellogg throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. No luck with that takedown attempt from Wilder. Wilder could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kellogg lands an overhand right. Wilder takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wilder throws a lazy body kick and Kellogg counters with a stiff right hand. Wilder tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kellogg counters with a stiff right hand. Wilder tries for a takedown but Kellogg circles away easily enabling Kellogg to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kellogg pinned against the cage. Kellogg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kellogg throws a counter combo. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD# Garcia looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Smith! Smith tries to improve position but can't. Smith striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Garcia keeps moving and retains side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth. Garcia connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
Garcia wants to stand but Smith is controlling his arm. Garcia misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Achilles stays standing though and waves Rua back to his feet!#ROC2#Rua is rocked! Achilles ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Rua's jaw. Rua's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Achilles does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
