#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Other avoids the body shot from Kanu.
Other looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kanu misses with a two punch combination.
Other tries to counter by closing the distance. Other looks for a takedown but Kanu sprawls well. A little feinted left hand from Kanu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Other has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Kanu throws a shot from downtown. Other moves away and avoids it. Other is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Other shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. An Other seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Other with that takedown attempt. Doush Kanu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of An Other. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kanu misses with a two punch combination.

Kanu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Other closes the distance and clinches up with Kanu, looking for a takedown. Other pushes Kanu against the cage but Kanu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Doush Kanu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Other takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kanu throws a body shot but no joy. Other on the wrong end of a nice jab. The fighters circling - Kanu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Other changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kanu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Other circles away quickly and effectively. Other raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Other slips a jab from Kanu. Kanu throws the left hand but Other avoids the punch easily. Other is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Other throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kanu sees it coming and avoids it easily.#T3# A jab lands there for Kanu. Kanu throws a body shot but no joy. Other steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kanu. Kanu misses with an uppercut. Other saw that one coming. Kanu misses with a body shot.
Kanu sets himself, and Other steps forward looking for the clinch! Kanu avoids it this time. Other misses with a takedown and Kanu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Other moves out of range as Kanu strikes. Kanu tries to bum rush Other with a series of wild strikes but Other uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kanu throws out a loose jab but Other uses good head movement to avoid it. Other ducks under a wild hook from Kanu.#T4# Other fails to land the takedown. A jab from Kanu misses. Other replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kanu blocks it well. Kanu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Other on the side of the head. Kanu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kanu throws a series of punches but Other avoids them all with ease. Other staying out of range there. Kanu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Kanu connects with a single shot there.#ROC#Other is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Other takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Other is still on wobbly legs! Can Kanu finish him? Kanu misses with the combination.

Other wants to counter the offense by Kanu and move into the clinch position. Other seems to have recovered his senses. Other looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Other shoots in and drives through. Kanu sprawls well. An Other is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kanu throws the left hand but Other avoids the punch easily. Kanu lands with a shot to the body. Kanu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A big left from Kanu misses. Kanu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kanu looks to land a left hand but Other moved out of range nicely. Kanu throws a hook but Other blocks it. Kanu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Other might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kanu has got the better of the exchanges. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kanu swinging wildly here.

A telegraphed right hand from Kanu misses the target. Kanu scores with a jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kanu looks to land a combination but Other avoids it well. Kanu misses with a body shot.

Kanu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Nice defenses there by Other. A big right from Kanu misses. Other is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kanu is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Other. Kanu throws a hook but Other avoids it easily. Kanu steps in with a hook that catches Other right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Kanu follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Other looks absolutely devastated.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Carter tries to keep at a distance but Dips has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD# Carter has clasped his hands together around Dips's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dips throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dips on the ground. Carter controls the position. Dips is looking for a sweep. Carter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dips some visible discomfort.
#SUB# Carter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dips is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dips is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dips has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter trying to control the position but Dips is working away. We've been hearing that Carter has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.#T1# Carter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.#CUT#It looks like Chase Dips has been cut. Dips is trying to get back to half guard. Carter scores with a couple of short elbows.#CUT#That has opened up Chase Dips's cut even more. Carter controls the position. Dips can't do much from the bottom here. Carter is looking to take a break and control but Dips is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Dips's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#T2# Dips is trying to buck Carter off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter in side control lands a decent elbow. Carter lands an elbow. #CUT#The cut above Chase Dips's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Dips is trying to control Carter's posture but Carter avoids it. Carter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.#CUT#Chase Dips's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chase Dips's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Tanahashi catches Other right on the button with a cross. A big left from Tanahashi misses. Other doesn't manage to clinch there - Tanahashi circles away.
Tanahashi misses the jab. Tanahashi sets himself, and Other steps forward looking for the clinch! Tanahashi avoids it this time.#CL2# Other gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#TD2# Other jumps into guard, dragging Tanahashi to the mat.

A shot in the inside from Other. #TD2# Other is trying to trip Tanahashi. He has hold of a leg but Tanahashi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Other persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Other sitting in guard here, content to control. #T3# Other stands and throws Tanahashi's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tanahashi is breathing heavily.#SUB2# Other has an Americana. Tanahashi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Other is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Other hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
