Andersen cracks De Valle with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends De Valle tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Andersen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! De Valle is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

In his post fight interview, Nadeem Andersen gave a big smile as he said 'The King of the division is here to stay, nobody will take this belt off me,fellow 145ers, be prepared to lose your cognitive abilities, cause you will have to take a big amount of punishment if you ever step inside the octagon with me. De Fagut had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 148.2, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Nadeem Andersen was cancelled.
So, the belt remains unclaimed. Very disappointing for everyone involved!
