#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckleskin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mckleskin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #TD# Beck looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Beck not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Beck sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mckleskin defending well though. Beck takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Beck looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mckleskin looks winded! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beck connects with a nice short shot to Mckleskin's temple. Beck wants to control but Mckleskin is keeping him busy. Beck wants to stand up but Mckleskin is controlling the position.

Beck jumps guard but Mckleskin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Mckleskin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Beck.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Beck. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Beck is trying to trip Mckleskin. He has hold of a leg but Mckleskin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Beck persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#T3# Beck cracks Mckleskin with a solid left hand. Mckleskin wants to stand but Beck is controlling the position. Mckleskin keeping moving, preventing Beck from controlling successfully. Beck's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mckleskin is keeping the position for now. #T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Beck postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Beck lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Beck seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Beck passes easily into side control. Nice work.#SUB# Beck is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mckleskin looks calm but he's in trouble here. Beck gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mckleskin is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Callaway clinches up against the cage.#TD# Jackman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Callaway can't fight it off and eventually Jackman manages to take the fight to the floor. Callaway looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jackman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackman scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackman preventing the sweep. Callaway is trying to control the position but Jackman postures up. #SUB2# Callaway looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Callaway looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackman postures up and lands a big shot to Callaway's brow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackman passes Callaway's left leg - he's now in half guard. Newland loads up on a big right hand but Haardt slips the punch. Newland seems to have got his legs back now. Haardt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looked like Newland wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. No joy there for Newland, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Newland lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salter tries to move into range but Jameson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jameson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jameson connects with a looping right hand.

Salter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.#SUB2# Salter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jameson, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB2# Salter has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jameson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Salter yanks on the arm and Jameson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Salter.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Young steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carpenter. Young throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Young tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carpenter was well out of range. Poor timing from Young. Young fails with an attempt to clinch.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Crawford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stillman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stillman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.#TD# Crawford looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Stillman trying to control here.
#SU# Crawford stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Crawford changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stillman tries to avoid it but Crawford manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stillman to the ground. Stillman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Stillman. Crawford tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Stillman counters with a nice uppercut. Stillman is looking to control Crawford's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stillman avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. #T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Crawford is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crawford seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stillman for as long as he can get away with. Stillman tries to roll over but Crawford keeps him under control. Crawford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stillman on the ground. Crawford performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Crawford tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stillman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zachary Crawford will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# Stillman lands a head shot. Stillman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Crawfords jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Crawford moves to clinch but Stillman breaks away and Stillman counters with a nice uppercut. We've been told by Crawford's head coaches at Cozad MMA St Petersburg that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Zachary Crawford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crawford blocks a low kick nicely. A head kick by Crawford misses and Stillman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Stillman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crawford manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#TD# Crawford gets a double leg takedown into Stillman's guard. Humlos plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Humlos scores with a head kick. Stillman tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Humlos dives in for a single leg takedown but Stillman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Humlos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
