Sailor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Pain defending well as Sailor loads up on a big left hand. Pain tries to close the distance and clinch but Sailor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pain connects with the punch. Pain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sailor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sailor is looking to counter punch. Pain shoots in and drives through. Sailor sprawls well. Sailor is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Pain takes one on the button. The fight stays on the outside here - Pain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pain tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sailor counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pain throws a sloppy head kick and Sailor moves out of range easily. An attempted straight right counter from Sailor misses the target.#T1# Sailor misses with a wild body shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Pain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sailor. Sailor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pain manages to avoid it. Sindre Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pain wants to clinch and Sailor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sailor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pain. Evgeniy Sailor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sindre Pain. Pain slips under a jab from Sailor. Pain scores with a punch to the head.#T2# Sailor slaps away a takedown attempt from Pain, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sailor swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nice takedown defense from Sailor. No joy for Pain on that attempt. Sailor misses with a shot to the body and Pain counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sailor is lucky that one didn't land flush. Pain shoots in for a takedown but Sailor shows good takedown defense. Sailor swings for the body but Pain moves out of range.
Pain tries to clinch up and Sailor counters with a straight right hand. Sailor lands a glancing blow to the side of Pain's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pain moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pain shoots in but Sailor avoids the takedown attempt easily.#T3# Pain defending well as Sailor loads up on a big left hand. Pain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sailor ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pain shoots for a takedown but Sailor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pain looks winded! Sailor scores with a decent looking hook. Pain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sailor defends it nicely. Pain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. It looked like Sailor wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Pain misses with a takedown letting Sailor counter with a right hand. #T4# Sailor scores with a jab to the head.
#ROC#Pain is rocked! Sailor clobbers Pain with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Pain is still on wobbly legs! Can Sailor finish him? Sailor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Sailor ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Pain's jaw. Pain's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Sailor does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Main uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pain has time to react. Main misses with a series of wild punches.
Pain fails with the takedown and Main counters with a stiff right hand. Main tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Main fails with an attempt to clinch.

#BC# Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Main as he avoids it easily. Main scores with a sloppy right hand. Pain should have avoided that one. #CL# Pain rushes Main and presses him up against the cage.#BC# Pain breaks from the clinch.
Main pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A slapping leg kick lands for Pain.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice uppercut lands for Main. That snapped Pain's head back.

Main throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pain works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pain lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Pain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Main's guard. #T2# Pain uses his free foot to push down on Main's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Main. Pain working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pain lands a couple of good shots and Main has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Pain throwing damaging strikes from the back! Main could be in trouble here!

He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pain wants to free his trapped foot but Statement Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pain trying to control the pace. #SUB# Pain is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Statement Jr sees it coming and defends easily. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
#T1# Pain seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Statement Jr for as long as he can get away with.#SUB# Pain is looking for a kimura here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.#SUB# Pain looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hreidmarson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.#ROC2#Payne is rocked! Payne looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hreidmarson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Payne. Hreidmarson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fafnir Hreidmarson! In his post fight interview, Fafnir Hreidmarson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |
