#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bum back to the cage. Alvarez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Alvarez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bum shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Alvarez appears to be looking for a big counter.#CL2# Alvarez tries to keep at a distance but Bum has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD2# Bum is trying to trip Alvarez. He has hold of a leg but Alvarez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bum persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Alvarez keeping moving, preventing Bum from controlling successfully. Bum stops Alvarez from standing up. Bum wants to control from the top but Alvarez keeps moving. Bum is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Alvarez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#T1# Alvarez wants to stand and escape but Bum is having none of it. Alvarez is adopting a defensive guard.#SUB# Alvarez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bum has his hands clasped together but Alvarez extends and breaks Bum's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Alvarez.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD# Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sullivan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Carter passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sullivan! Carter working the ground and pound effectively.
Carter content just to control the position here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We've been told by Davis's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Davis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!#CL2# Rockhold has managed to clinch.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes lands with a hook. Borktan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Borktan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Barnes looks to land a combination but Borktan avoids it well. Barnes misses with a few strikes there.
Borktan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Borktan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Barnes lands a body shot.
#KD# Barnes lands a left and a right that send Borktan crashing to the mat, dazed. Barnes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Borktan takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Borktan is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnes finish him? Barnes finds Borktan's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Borktan flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Barnes lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Borktan will be OK.

Silva is trying to drag Sullinger to the mat but Sullinger just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sullinger pressing his opponent against the cage. Silva jumps guard but Sullinger turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Silva throws a punch but it's blocked by Sullinger. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. #TD2# Sullinger turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sullinger manages to end up in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is being controlled here. Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sullinger's best efforts. Silva trying to hold on to Sullinger's head to control him but Sullinger postures up.
