#CL# Giroux gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Poirier wants to break free but Giroux has control.
#TD# Giroux successfully pulls guard.
Poirier stops Giroux from standing up. Giroux knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Poirier on the ground.#SU2# Poirier stands up from Giroux's guard - Poirier perhaps looking for a knockout. #CL# Poirier tries to keep at a distance but Giroux has taken the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A frustrated look appears on Giroux's face as he tries to break the clinch. Poirier is trying to break free. Giroux stalling.
#TD# Giroux manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. #T1# Poirier showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Giroux avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #SUB2# Poirier drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Poirier jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Giroux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Giroux working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Poirier . Giroux controls Poirier momentarily but Poirier frees himself. Poirier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Giroux's guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poirier prevents Giroux from improving his position.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.#SUB2# Poirier is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Giroux is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Ocean closes the distance and clinches. Arlovski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ocean smiles and moves away.
#CL2# Ocean darts in and clinches Arlovski up against the cage. Ocean lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ocean lands with a right to the head. Ocean scores with a shot to the side of Arlovski's head. Arlovski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ocean fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ocean throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ocean fails to land with a series of punches.
#CL2# Ocean pushes Arlovski up against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ocean lands with a short head shot on the inside. Arlovski tries to pull guard but Ocean forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Arlovski. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice left hand lands by Ocean.
A short uppercut from Ocean. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ocean lands a nice shot to the body. Ocean stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Arlovski is breathing heavily.#T1# Ocean pushes Arlovski back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A shot in the inside from Ocean. #ROC2#Arlovski is rocked! Ocean lands a left hand.
Oh Arlovski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ocean works on Arlovski's body with a couple of short punches.#BC2# Ocean pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ocean lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Arlovski falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
