Toevadoit tries to bum rush The Hunn with a series of wild strikes but The Hunn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The Hunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Toevadoit paws at him with a jab and circles away. Toevadoit looks to land a combination but The Hunn avoids it well. The Hunn wants to counter with a clinch but Toevadoit pushes him away. The Hunn has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. The Hunn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. It looked like Toevadoit was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. The Hunn scores with a head kick.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter slaps away a takedown attempt from Bomb, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bomb fails with a takedown attempt. Bomb just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromCarter. Bomb looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carter is fending him off so far but Bomb persists. Nope, Carter circles away and we're back to standing. Wayne Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Bomb. Bomb shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carter sprawls well. Carter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bomb gets slowly back to his feet.#CL# Carter closes the distance and pushes Bomb back into the cage.#TD# Carter gets a trip takedown into half guard. Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bomb with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bomb's head. Bomb regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Carter. Sapiyev throws a hook to the side of Nan's head but Nan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sapiyev fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sapiyev closes the distance and lands a one-two.#CUT#It looks like Yu Nan has been cut. Nan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A telegraphed right hand from Sapiyev misses the target. Nan feints the counter takedown. Nice defenses there by Nan. Sapiyev misses with a looping right. Sapiyev misses with a hook. Nan ducked under it nicely. A slow jab from Nan misses its intended target. Sapiyev misses with an uppercut. Nan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sapiyev defends it well. Freecs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sapiyev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Freecs doesn't manage to clinch there - Sapiyev circles away.
Freecs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Freecs dives in for a single leg takedown but Sapiyev sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Sapiyev digs a good body shot into Freecs's ribs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Freecs is defended easily by Sapiyev. Serik Sapiyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gon Freecs. Sapiyev with a jab. Freecs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sapiyev. Sapiyev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Freecs. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kreten for as long as he can get away with. Kreten is trying to control the position from the bottom.
