Kulina feints and as Lazarov raises his hands in defense, Kulina changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#ES#
Lazarov kicks Kulina off and gets to his feet.
Lazarov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. #TD#
Lazarov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kulina was covering up waiting for the punch and Lazarov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lazarov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Kulina utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lazarov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kulina is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lazarov yanks on the arm and Kulina is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lazarov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kreten seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kreten is breathing heavily.
Slim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Slim throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kreten counters with a series of strikes. Slim will be more careful next time no doubt.
Slim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Igor Kreten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barbados Slim.
Slim shoots in looking for a takedown but Kreten manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kreten slaps away a takedown attempt from Slim, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kreten tries to counter by clinching up but Slim breaks away and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slim has a takedown stuffed.
Slim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #CL2#

Slim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kreten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kreten has managed to get both his arms back between Slim's legs - danger averted.
Kreten has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kreten is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kreten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slim on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kreten is trying to remain composed but Slim is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
