That snapped Benson's head back.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Makkonen to score with a decent uppercut. Makkonen lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Everett is looking to close the distance but Makkonen sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Everett crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Everett is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

McWrestler cracks Canvana with a good jab. Canvana takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. McWrestler dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Canvana tries to score a power double leg takedown but McWrestler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Canvana somewhat. McWrestler cracks Canvana with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Canvana fails with the takedown and McWrestler counters with a lovely straight right hand! Canvana takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McWrestler keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Benson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Barfield feints a jab promting Benson to slip. Barfield then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Benson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Barfield with a jab.#CL# Barfield closes the distance and pushes Benson back into the cage. Barfield lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Benson backwards. Benson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A short right from Barfield on the inside. Barfield presses Benson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Barfield prevents a takedown attempt there.
A frustrated look appears on Benson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Barfield's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.#BC# Barfield's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
