Giles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jack is looking to clinch but Giles is avoiding it.
Jack fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jack tries to close the distance and clinch but Giles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Giles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jack sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Giles looking to score a takedown here. Jack is defending well but Giles drives through and ends up in Jack's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Giles pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.#CUT#It looks like Badou Jack has been cut.
Jack is in a horrible position here. Giles smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
