Thunder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cruz's guard.
Thunder content to stall in guard here.
Thunder passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Thunder happy to just control the position for now.
Let's hope that Thunder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Thunder might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thunder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cruz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Thunder off and cradles Cruz's limp body as Thunder celebrates with his corner.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stron as Darnell tries to tie him up.
Darnell fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Stron jumps guard but Darnell turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stron blocking some punches.
Stron lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Darnell or not.
Darnell wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stron jumps guard and drags Darnell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Darnell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stron's guard.
Stron wants to improve his position but Darnell is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Darnell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stron with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Darnell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T2#
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Darnell uses his free foot to push down on Stron's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stron.
Stron wants to control but Darnell is having none of it.

Darnell is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Stron is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Stron flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Darnell anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Stron and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Darnell slips an arm under Stron chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Darnell has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Darnell is squeezing on Stron like an anaconda would it's prey. Stron fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Jahndi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jahndi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Butz.
A left and a right from Butz both land. Nice combination.
