#R1# Page walks into a jab. Page shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maddox sprawls well. Maddox wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Page gets slowly back to his feet. Maddox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Page swats him away and circles back towards the center. Page takes one to the chin there. Page fails to land the takedown. Maddox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Page paws at him with a jab and circles away. Maddox tries for a takedown but Page circles away easily#CL# and Page counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Page. Maddox can't get the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Page ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Page no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Page is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maddox accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #T1# Page not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Page is really struggling to control Maddox but he's trying to hold on to the position. Maddox looking to pass the guard. Maddox throws a big elbow that misses. #SUB2# Maddox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maddox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Maddox throwing strikes but missing. Page wants to sweep here but Maddox controlling him for the moment. Page utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #SUB2# Maddox drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Page manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maddox has Page in his guard.#REVR# Maddox is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#T2# Page controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Page looking to pass the guard. Page throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Maddox works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Maddox bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Page's guard. #REVB##T3# Maddox forces his way into half guard.#SUB2# Maddox is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Page is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
