Saipam Muwaitang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Heining uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Muwaitang. Muwaitang stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Heining. Heining takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#CL# Heining darts in and clinches Muwaitang up against the cage. Muwaitang is trying to break the clinch but Heining is controlling him. Heining tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

#R1##TD2# Kostlov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kostlov wants to pass the guard but Mifune is keeping the position. Mifune is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Wizardcast that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.#SU2# Kostlov gets to his feet - Mifune follows without any prompting. Kostlov with a poor takedown and Mifune makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kostlov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mifune counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CUT#It looks like Vitja Kostlov has been cut. Mifune displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Mifune scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kostlov in his tracks. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Mifune moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Kostlov! Mifune continues to tee off on Kostlov, landing with a left and a right! That will dishearten Revere somewhat.#TD2# Revere gets a takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Revere connects with a nice short shot to Heining's temple. Revere takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Revere working the head and body with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heining trying to control but Revere postures up.
Revere looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Revere moves nicely into side control. #T1# Revere cracks Heining with a big elbow. Heining is breathing heavily. Incons dives in for a single leg takedown but Rasnov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Rasnov seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Incons is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rasnov. Incons is looking to clinch. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Incons lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rasnov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rasnov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rasnov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Incons. Incons moves to clinch but Rasnov breaks away and Rasnov counters with a nice uppercut. Heining seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Heining lands a nice short elbow. Heining is nestled in close to Stat, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Heining tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Davis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Heining's sensitive parts. Davis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Heining. That did some damage! Heining walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Davis leaves Heining with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Davis as Heining shoots in.
