Shittaker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Vvv controlling from the full mount. Shittaker tries to reverse the position but Vvv maintains control. Shittaker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shittaker tries to get out of the position. Vvv controlling the position easily from mount. Da Ba Dee with a lazy takedown attempt and Petchyindee counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Da Ba Dee has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Adams is pushing Zangiev's head away, looking to escape. Zangiev manages to hold on to the position though.#SUB2# Zangiev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zangiev on the ground. Zangiev grinds an elbow into Adams's temple. Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position. Adams is trying to get back to his feet.#SUB2# Zangiev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Adams throws a wild body kick that Tshabalala sees coming a mile off. Sloppy strikes from Adams. Those never looked like landing. Tshabalala attempts a counter takedown but Adams avoids it well and moves away. Adams throws out a loose jab but Tshabalala uses good head movement to avoid it. Tshabalala is looking to counter the offense by Adams and move into the clinch. Adams finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Shittaker tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Shittaker back against the cage. Shittaker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smith has him pressed against the cage.#BC# Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shittaker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strom slows the pace down in half guard. #T1# Strom trying to pass the guard but Vanderbilt defending well. Vanderbilt is trying to maintain the position but Strom is very close to passing his half guard. Strom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Strom winds up and cracks Vanderbilt with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Strom passes into side control, despite Vanderbilt's attempt to control the position.
