#R1# Jankens avoids a kick to the body.
Antonov tries to clinch up and Jankens counters with a straight right hand. Antonov goes for a double leg but Jankens avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jankens continues to drive forward. Antonov tries to circle away but Jankens has him pinned against the cage. Antonov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jankens has him pressed against the cage. Antonov tries to pull guard but Jankens holds him up against the cage and eventually Antonov drops back down to his feet.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jankens. Antonov is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Koldan Antonov. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Antonov goes for a takedown attempt but Jankens pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jankens doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Jankens lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Antonov at a distance.

Antonov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#T1# Jankens connects with a crisp jab. #CUT2#It looks like Koldan Antonov has been cut. Antonov wants to clinch but Jankens slips to the side and Jankens counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jankens scores with a nice head shot. Antonov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Antonov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Antonov shoots and misses and Jankens counters with a stiff right hand. Antonov is breathing heavily. Jankens connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Antonov's hands.#ROC2#Antonov is rocked! A left and a right from Jankens both land. Nice combination. Oh Antonov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Antonov walks straight into a right hand from Jankens - that's dropped him! Jankens jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Antonov from any more punishment! Antonov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Janky Jankens! Janky Jankens bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. |
