The fighters land in half guard but Heredia regains guard immediately. Jitmuangnon seems content to control from guard here. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gunter working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Gunter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gunter stops Heredia from standing up. Gunter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Heredia is looking to stand up but Gunter isn't so interested in that idea. Joshua goes for a double leg but Magomedov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Magomedov continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Joshua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joshua tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Magomedov just stands there and leans against the cage.#TD2# Magomedov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Heredia wants to hit a sweep here but Payakaroon passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Heredia there! Payakaroon controlling the pace for now. Payakaroon breaks from Heredia's wrist control and lands an elbow. Payakaroon landing strikes, looking to finish! And Baltaretu tries to counter it with a takedown but Heredia pushes his down on his head and steps out. Heredia tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Baltaretu defends well and Heredia ends up having to push Baltaretu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#TD2# Baltaretu works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Heredia thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Heredia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Baltaretu landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baltaretu wants to control from the top but Heredia keeps moving. Heredia throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
