and McCarthy counters with a stiff right hand. A punch combination from Ming misses. Ming on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. McCarthy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A low kick from Ming is predictable there and McCarthy counters with a nice uppercut. #R1# Bawles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bawles stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bawles with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Donoghue to score with a decent uppercut. O Donoghue slips a straight right by Bawles. A jab lands there for Bawles. O Donoghue takes a body punch but keeps moving. O Donoghue is looking to clinch. A big right from O Donoghue misses. O Donoghue misses with a straight right. O Donoghue waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bawles. Bawles thows a left - swing and a miss! Jab, jab by O Donoghue - just one landing. O Donoghue lands a really nice looking cross but Bawles seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. O Donoghue lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bawles looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. O Donoghue displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bawles throws out the jab. O Donoghue ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bawles moves away. Bawles lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ribeiro's coach down at Tran MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ribeiro's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A head kick from Ming lands but Ribeiro takes it in his stride. #CUT#It looks like Joanderson Ribeiro has been cut. A nice inside leg kick there by Ming. That's going to slow Ribeiro down. Ming throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ribeiro. Ribeiro tries to clinch up. Ming keeps the fight on the outside. Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ming swats him away and circles back towards the center. Penny Ming seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ming misses with an uppercut. Ribeiro saw that one coming. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Ming swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ribeiro misses with a jab, cross combination.
