Jones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. No luck with that takedown attempt from OMalley. A punch combination from Jones misses. Jones keeps the fight on the outside.#CL2# Jones moves into the clinch. OMalley throws a head punch that misses. OMalley tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean OMalley. That's going to take a lot out of him. OMalley is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OMalley is looking for a takedown.#BC# OMalley manages to break the clinch.
OMalley is looking to clinch. OMalley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but OMalley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A knee to the head by Jones.
OMalley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. OMalley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. OMalley tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones throws a nice head kick!

OMalley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#BC2# Jones breaks the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in OMalley's guard. #REVB##SUB# OMalley is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU2# Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders OMalley to his feet. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jones! OMalley is out on his feet! Jones rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - OMalley is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! OMalley is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

McPenicillan lands a nice elbow from the clinch. #CUT2#It looks like Alex Perriera has been cut. McPenicillan lands an elbow that stopped Perriera in his tracks for a moment. Perriera blocks the elbow strike.
Perriera is trying to pull guard but McPenicillan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, McPenicillan throws an elbow but misses. A nice glancing elbow lands by McPenicillan. #CUT2#Alex Perriera's cut is getting worse. Perriera takes an elbow to the forehead. McPenicillan throws a punch but it's blocked by Perriera. McPenicillan is pressed up against the cage. Perriera has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McPenicillan down to the mat. McPenicillan avoids the attempt though and has circled away.
