Barajas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barajas lands in his opponent's guard.
Barajas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Madsen wants to stand and escape but Barajas is having none of it.

Barajas is working Madsen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Messi tries a head kick but it misses.

Messi shoots in looking for a takedown but Castillo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Messi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It appears Castillo was looking to counter with a kick there.
Messi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Castillo defends well and Messi ends up having to push Castillo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
