He's got his arms around Nanook's waist but Nanook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trujillo off to one side. Trujillo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.#TD# Nanook scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Trujillo is trying to get back to half guard. Trujillo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Trujillo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trujillo is defended easily by Nanook. Makto Nanook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clinton Trujillo. Trujillo misses with a takedown #TD# and Nanook counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Trujillo! #T3##SUB# Nanook is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Trujillo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trujillo is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Trujillo tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Trujillo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check out the look on Nanook's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
#T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nanook is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Trujillo's shoulder. That is not cool. Nanook cracks Trujillo with a big right hand but Trujillo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles James. James circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Jones misses with a straight right. Jones loads up on a big right hand but Hitsugaya slips the punch. Hitsugaya throws a big counter head kick but Jones avoids it with no problem. Hitsugaya shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nichols cracks Gaines with a good jab. Nichols pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gaines back to the cage. Nichols follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Nichols throws a good cross that connects.
