#R1# Sloppy strikes from Burns. Those never looked like landing. Burns keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Roy shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Roy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Roy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A left lands for Burns. Roy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Burns throws out the jab. Roy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A little jabbing left from Burns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marques Roy. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Roy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Burns's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns looking for a sweep. Not yet Burns, not yet. Roy landing some decent shots from guard. Burns looking to sweep here. #R1# Bridges slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. We've been told by Strickland's head coaches at Banzai Combat Academy LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Strickland lunges at Bridges with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bridges's hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Strickland, as that shot connected.
Bridges throws a nice looking combination but Strickland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Strickland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Strickland feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bridgess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A nice inside leg kick there by Strickland. That's going to slow Bridges down. Strickland uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bridges.
Bridges throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Strickland fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bridges just manages to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Bridges. Strickland does a little dance to reset his feet. Strickland misses the jab. As Strickland backs off Bridges throws a huge counter combo but Strickland manages to avoid it all. Strickland cracks a nice hook into Bridges's ribs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bridges ducks under a wild hook from Strickland. Bridges's coach down at BANZAI COMBAT ACADEMY LAS VEGAS was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bridges's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bridges just misses with a punch to the body.

Quinn throws an overhand right that lands on Winters's shoulder, as Winters tries to avoid the shot. Quinn cracks Winters with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Quinn moves into range and connects with a jab. A swing and a miss from Winters. Quinn paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Quinn scores with a nice right hand.
