A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fort Bragg holds on and takes a little breather. Fort Bragg wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Brooks is now in half guard. Brooks keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Fort Bragg is trying to control but can't.
Brooks passes to full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks controlling the position easily from mount. Fort Bragg tries to hold on but Brooks pushes him away. #T1##SUB2# Brooks goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fort Bragg is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Drew Fort Bragg will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. Brooks stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brooks wants it to stay on the feet. Brooks is looking for the big counter here. and Fort Bragg counters with a one-two to the body. Fort Bragg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brooks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fort Bragg somewhat. Fort Bragg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brooks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fort Bragg throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Brooks to regain full guard. Dillion Brooks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Drew Fort Bragg is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fort Bragg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
