Silvennoinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silvennoinen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kerr closes the distance and clinches up with Silvennoinen, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes Silvennoinen against the cage but Silvennoinen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#TD2#
Kerr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silvennoinen on his heels. He'll look to pass Silvennoinen's guard now, I'm sure.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kerr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kerr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #REF3#

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A punch lands to the side of Kerr 's head but he takes it in his stride.#KD#
Silvennoinen drops Kerr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kerr looks back up at him and smiles so Silvennoinen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed. #ROC#Kerr is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Silvennoinen finds Kerr's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Kerr flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Silvennoinen lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kerr will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lottovoittaja Silvennoinen!

The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.#CUT#It looks like Benn Heely has been cut.
Samuel Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2#
Heely forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Heely is looking for a takedown.
Jones lands a body punch in the clinch.
Heely drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Heely wants to break free but Jones has control.
I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jones digs a right hand into Heely's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Heely's gas tank. #BC#
Jones manages to break the clinch.
Heely tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.
Samuel Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benn Heely.

Heely swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones swings for the body but Heely moves out of range.
Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.#ROC#Heely is rocked!
Nice shot lands for Jones.
Heely is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?#T1##KD#
Jones feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Heely sprawling to the canvas! Heely rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jones finish him?!
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heely was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
Jones cracks Heely with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Heely tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jones pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Heely is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samuel Jones!
