Goggins manages to retain guard.#SUB2# Turles thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Turles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Goggins trying to keep a closed guard but Turles is proving a slippery customer.
#SUB2# Turles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Goggins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Goggins wants to stand but Turles is controlling the position. Turles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wheeler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lungfish sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lungfish takes a swing at Wheeler's ribcage but misses. Lungfish swings and misses with a shot to the body and Wheeler counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lungfish thinking. Wheeler dives in and grabs Lungfish's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lungfish pushes down on Wheeler's head and hops out. Lungfish is looking for the big counter here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Wheeler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lungfish misses with an uppercut
and Wheeler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wheeler throws a sloppy head kick and Lungfish moves out of range easily. Wheeler misses with a series of wild punches.

Wheeler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lungfish for as long as he can get away with. #R1##TD2# Grawner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Flick napping and manages to drive through into side control! Flick trying to remain calm as Grawner controls from the top position. Grawner tries to score with some ground and pound. Flick controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Grawner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Flick parries the strikes from Grawner easily there. Grawner is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Flick to escape.
Grawner moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Grawner decides to stand up, so the ref orders Flick to his feet. #T1# Grawner misses with a head kick.

Luke looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!#TD2# Hayes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Luke quickly recovers to half guard. Hayes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hayes wants to free his trapped foot but Luke is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hayes slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Luke won't allow Hayes to pass to mount. Luke blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hayes. Luke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hayes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Luke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Luke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Luke wants to improve his position but Hayes is controlling well.
