and James counters with a three punch combo that has Renard backing up. Renard nods at James to acknowledge the strikes.#TD2# James gets caught napping as Renard dives in and scores a takedown. James manages to retain guard. James has his feet on Renard's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Renard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from James.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eddie James. Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
