Usman Malik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malik shoots and misses
and Jonhson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jonhson throws a looping overhand right but Malik ducks down to avoid it.
A head kick by Malik misses
letting Jonhson counter with a right hand.
Malik closes the distance but Jonhson moves to the side
and Jonhson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Malik shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Malik was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Malik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Malik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jonhson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Malik is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jonhson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jonhson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Malik takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jon Jonhson seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Malik shoots for a double leg takedown but Jonhson sprawls well. He's pushed Malik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jonhson drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Malik's head, knocking him out cold! Jonhson is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Vavau connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #TD#
Malik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vavau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Malik has hold of Vavau's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vavau seems comfortable defending it but Malik has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vavau is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vavau is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Malik couldn't care less - he's delighted!
