Materla rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ahola finish him?!
#ROC#Materla is rocked! Ahola drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Materla's head, knocking him out cold! Ahola is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Materla just stands there and leans against the cage. Perez is breathing heavily. Materla tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Perez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#TD2# Materla successfully pulls guard.
#SUB2# Perez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Materla pulls Perez in close to his closed guard and prevents Perez from doing any damage or advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Materla working for a triangle but Perez defends it easily.
Materla wants to sweep here but Perez controlling him for the moment. #T1##SUB2# Materla is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB2# Materla escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Perez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. #SUB2# Materla had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Perez defends it easily.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Materla is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Materla keeps the fight on the outside. Materla lands a nice looking kick to the body. Perez takes a step back to recover. Materla thuds his shin into the meat of Perez's side.#TD2# Materla drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#SUB# Perez has his foot on Materla's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Materla works his way back into a safe position though. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Materla engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Perez looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Materla tries to land a sweep but no joy. Perez trying to control but Materla is working from the bottom. It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB# Perez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #T2# Materla controls Perez momentarily but Perez frees himself. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#ES2# The fighters are working up against the cage. Materla manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Materla stalling the fight.

Come on Perez, up you get! Perez takes a body punch but keeps moving. The fight stays on the outside here - Materla looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Decent striking displayed by Materla there.
And that's the end of the fight! Michal Materla comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Materla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Michal Materla really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 280.2, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Karol Bedorf was cancelled. |

Materla tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Materla connects with a solid leg kick. Diaoune throws a jab when Materla was well out of range. Materla swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Materla is looking to clinch but Diaoune is avoiding it.
Materla looks to throw the jab but Diaoune is out of range. Materla closes the distance looking to clinch and Diaoune counters with a nice uppercut. #CUT#It looks like Michal Materla has been cut. A looping hook to the body misses from Materla. Diaoune does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That kick from Materla tenderised Diaoune's leg. Diaoune is trying to keep his angry face on. Materla dives in and grabs Diaoune's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaoune pushes down on Materla's head and hops out. Diaoune swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Materla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diaoune. Materla throws a counter combo. Diaoune on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Materla. Materla obviously looking to wear him down.
A telegraphed right hand from Diaoune misses the target. #T1# Materla throws a series of punches but Diaoune moves out of range. It looked like Diaoune wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Diaoune misses with a looping right. Materla looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Diaoune digs a good body shot into Materla's ribs. Diaoune grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Materla takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Diaoune cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

#R1# Tawake's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chalidov under the eye. Tawake missing with a left hand there. Chalidov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tawake lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tawake throws out a loose jab but Chalidov uses good head movement to avoid it. Tawake lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Chalidov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tawake lands with an overhand left. Chalidov slips under a jab. Chalidov appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.#TD# Chalidov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tawake napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tawake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chalidov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chalidov happy to just control the position for now. #SUB# Chalidov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Tawake is trying to escape and Chalidov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Tawake is forced to tap! Nice work there by Chalidov! Very nice indeed!

Anacoreta showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that Anacoreta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Chalidov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anacoreta on the ground. Chalidov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anacoreta is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anacoreta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Anacoreta wants to pass the guard but Chalidov is keeping the position.#T1# Anacoreta looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Chalidov misses with an uppercut. #CL# Uray rushes Chalidov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chalidov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Uray gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Chalidov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Uray walks away with a smile on his face. Chalidov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Evelio Uray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Chalidov. Uray lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chalidov circles away quickly and effectively. Chalidov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Uray defends well and Chalidov ends up having to push Uray into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uray is trying to push Chalidov away but Chalidov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A nice right hand lands inside from Uray. Uray lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Chalidov or not. Uray tries to pull guard but Chalidov forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Uray scores with a shot to the side of Chalidov's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chalidov is trying to force a seperation but Uray has the dominant position.#T1# Uray stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Chalidov jumps guard but Uray stands there with Chalidov around his waist. Chalidov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Evelio Uray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Chalidov.#TD2# Chalidov jumps into guard, dragging Uray to the mat.
Uray tries to stand but Chalidov is controlling from the bottom. Chalidov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Uray's guard. #REVB# Chalidov pushes down on Uray's leg and manages to get into half guard. Uray is trying to stand up here but Chalidov is controlling him well. Chalidov trying to control from half guard but Uray is working away. #SUB2# Chalidov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
#T2# Chalidov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uray keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chalidov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.#SUB2# Chalidov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Uray defend it? Chalidov steps over the head and cranks it - Uray is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chalidov!
