Velez keeping moving, preventing Out from controlling successfully. Velez wants to sweep but no luck. Velez is looking to sweep but instead, Out has passed into half guard.
Velez tries to kick Out off but Out keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Velez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Out trying to pass the guard but Velez defending well. Velez is refusing to be controlled, as Out sits in half guard. #T1##SUB# Out is looking for a kimura but Velez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Out to get the leverage. Velez is not content to let Out control the position.#ES2# Velez kicks off Out and gets to his feet. Out tries to close the distance and clinch up but Velez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Velez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Out tries to score a power double leg takedown but Velez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Out somewhat. Nice sprawl there from Velez as Out shoots in. Velez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Out sprawls well. Out wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sitsongrit throws a sloppy head kick and Pelipe moves out of range easily. Sitsongrit fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Sitsongrit connects with a looping right hand.
Sitsongrit steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pelipe. Sitsongrit cracks Pelipe with a right hand to the side of the head. Pelipe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sitsongrit can pounce on him.
Sitsongrit moves away from the strike by Pelipe. Sitsongrit connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pelipe's hands. Sitsongrit keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pelipe misses with a left hand letting Sitsongrit counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Pelipe throws out a loose jab but Sitsongrit uses good head movement to avoid it. Yababoy Sitsongrit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sitsongrit pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sitsongrit drops his hands momentarily and Pelipe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Pelipe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sitsongrit can pounce on him.
Sitsongrit thuds his right hand into Pelipe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Sitsongrit scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Sitsongrit has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Sitsongrit dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pelipe. That did some damage! Pelipe needs to keep his hands up - Sitsongrit had a free shot at his head there. Sitsongrit goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pelipe scores with a jab to the body. Sitsongrit jabs Pelipe to the body, keeping him at a distance. Pelipe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sitsongrit.
