Sym throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mwinshehe. A looping hook to the body misses from Mwinshehe. Sym does a little dance to reset his feet. Mwinshehe checks a low kick from Sym. Mwinshehe swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.#TD2# Sym shoots in and gets a takedown into Mwinshehe's guard. Sym stands up over Mwinshehe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mwinshehe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sym is controlling him. Ayo Kakongkong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tovar tries to move into range but Kakongkong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kakongkong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A big left from Kakongkong misses. Tovar throws a series of strikes that have Kakongkong backpedaling.
Kakongkong throws out a leg kick but Tovar moves out of range and Kakongkong only half commits. Tovar unleashes a big counter combination but Kakongkong bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.#KD# Tovar ducks straight into an uppercut from Kakongkong and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Tovar manages to regain guard straight away.

Tseung shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kidd pinned against the cage. Kidd gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kidd lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinji Tseung. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kidd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kidd looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice leg kick from Kidd, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tseung tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kidd swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tseung gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kidd counters with a three punch combo that has Tseung backing up. Tseung nods at Kidd to acknowledge the strikes.#T1# Kidd misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Tseung does no damage. Tseung walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kidd stuffs the takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kidd wants it to stay on the feet. Tseung is breathing heavily. No joy there for Kidd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tovar is staying tight to Avila's torso, preventing him from escaping. It looks like Tovar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Tovar landing a few strikes. Tovar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tovar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Avila down.

#R1##TD# Tovar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Beltran is trying to control Tovar's posture but Tovar avoids it. Beltran tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Beltran bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Beltran slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #SUB2# Beltran drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tovar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Beltran has Tovar in his guard.#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Beltran is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tovar has his hands clasped together but Beltran extends and breaks Tovar's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Beltran.
