The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Goodridge shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sato but Sato pushes him off and we're back to square one.#TD2# Sato closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tyk wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Porter's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Tyk seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Porter trying to control but Tyk is working from the bottom. #R1# Strickland checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Sloppy strikes from Goodridge. Those never looked like landing. Dubson Strickland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strickland stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Strickland wants it to stay on the feet. No joy there for Goodridge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Strickland throws a series of strikes that have Goodridge backpedaling.
Strickland will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goodridge takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

#TD# Porter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Voss's half guard. Porter controlling the pace. Porter tries to stand but his arm is trapped. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porter content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. #T1# Voss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Porter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Porter tries to pass the half guard into mount.
