This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 6 losses; Dan Dinker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Nigel Greer! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Greer slaps away a takedown attempt from Dinker, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dinker leaves Greer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.#CL# Dinker drives through and clinches with Greer against the ropes.
#TD# Dinker gets control of Greer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dinker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Greer sitting in guard here, content to control. Dinker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Greer on the ground. It looks like Greer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#SUB2# Greer drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Greer seems to have locked his on tight now - Dinker screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Greer, as he picks up the win!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Briggs walks straight into a right hand from Strand - that's dropped him! Strand jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Briggs from any more punishment! Briggs complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
