Gracie can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chong tries to move to full mount but Gracie actually manages to regain half guard. #T2##SUB2# Gracie has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Chong. Oh but Gracie has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Chong goes limp - he's gone! Gracie jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Rafael Gracie! |
