#R1# Daugherty shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hogcrew defends it nicely.#CL2# Hogcrew gets a clinch. #TD2# Hogcrew manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Daugherty trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogcrew is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Hogcrew looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Daugherty wants to control from the top but Hogcrew keeps moving. Hogcrew working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Daugherty. Hogcrew tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SU# Hogcrew is working an open guard so Daugherty takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.#TD2# Hogcrew bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hogcrew is looking to take a break and control but Daugherty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daugherty managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hogcrew.
#T2# Daugherty is trying to buck Hogcrew off. Hogcrew just content to control the position. Daugherty wants to control but Hogcrew postures up. Daugherty wants to get back to his feet. Hogcrew in side control, just content to control the action for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. It looks like Hogcrew might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#T3##CL2# Hogcrew gets a clinch. Hogcrew tries to land knees in the clinch but Daugherty avoids the damage to the body. #BC2# Hogcrew breaks the clinch.
#TD2# Hogcrew dives in and scores a takedown into Daugherty's guard.#SUB# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Daugherty throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hogcrew is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #T4# Daugherty is trying to keep Hogcrew in close.
Hogcrew trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hogcrew won't allow Daugherty to sweep him here. Hogcrew slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. John Hogcrew dominated that round. The cut man is working on Maximillian Daugherty's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2# Hogcrew is looking to land body kicks. Daugherty tries to counter with a takedown but Hogcrew is quick to defend against it. Hogcrew has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Daugherty enables Hogcrew to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Daugherty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Daugherty working a defensive guard here.
#SUB# Daugherty is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hogcrew is aware though and is defending well. Daugherty controls Hogcrew momentarily but Hogcrew frees himself. Hogcrew trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hogcrew must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daugherty is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Daugherty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#T1# Hogcrew wants to control from the top but Daugherty keeps moving. Hogcrew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Daugherty swivels though and keeps the full guard. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Daugherty shoots in for a double leg but Hogcrew sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hogcrew unleashes a big counter combination but Daugherty bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hogcrew stuffs the takedown attempt from Daugherty. Daugherty gets slowly back to his feet. Hogcrew tries to counter by closing the distance. Daugherty lands a nice shot that snaps Hogcrew's head back.
#CL2# Hogcrew closes the distance and pushes Daugherty back into the cage. Daugherty wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.#BC2# Hogcrew escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Daugherty looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#T2##CL2# Hogcrew gets in close and instigates a clinch. Daugherty stalling in the clinch but Hogcrew improves position. Hogcrew tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Daugherty avoids it.#TD2# Hogcrew wants the takedown. Daugherty is fighting it off but Hogcrew persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Daugherty's guard against the cage. Daugherty wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hogcrew manages to pass to side control. #REVR# Hogcrew prevents Daugherty from improving his position. Daugherty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. #T3# Hogcrew seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daugherty does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #SUB2# Daugherty is defending against the submission attempts here by Hogcrew.

Still in half guard, Hogcrew seems content to control.#T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Daugherty wants to get back to full guard. Hogcrew is trying to control the action in half guard but Daugherty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hogcrew wants to get back to his feet.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Daugherty trying to hold on to Hogcrew's head to control him but Hogcrew postures up.

Hogcrew misses with a kick to the body #TD# and Daugherty decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hogcrew's guard. Hogcrew has his hands on Daugherty's head, controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

He shot from a bit too far out.#TD2# Hogcrew feints and as Daugherty raises his hands in defense, Hogcrew changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Daugherty is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. #TD2# Hogcrew turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hogcrew manages to end up in side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Daugherty is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hogcrew controls the position from side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#T1# Hogcrew is continuing to stall. Hogcrew's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hogcrew is looking to take a break and control but Daugherty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Daugherty throws a lazy body kick #TD2# and Hogcrew counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hogcrew scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hogcrew wants to free his trapped foot but Daugherty is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hogcrew trying to control the pace. John Hogcrew has got the better of the ground game so far.#T3# Daugherty is looking for a sweep. Hogcrew is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hogcrew throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Daugherty to regain full guard. Hogcrew looking to sit in guard and control but Daugherty gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR##SUB2# Hogcrew is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daugherty is aware though and is defending well. Hogcrew wants to hit a sweep here but Daugherty passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hogcrew there! Daugherty tries to control but Hogcrew wriggling away. #T4# Hogcrew working to try and regain half guard.
Daugherty with shots to the head and body - Hogcrew looks very uncomfortable down there. Daugherty landing shots from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hogcrew is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hogcrew is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Daugherty is staying active. Maximillian Daugherty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Hogcrew is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Daugherty breaks from Hogcrew's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Maximillian Daugherty showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hogcrew has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
