Mack is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gedeon is defending well for now.
Mack is trying to drag Gedeon to the mat but Gedeon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mack drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gedeon gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mack wants the takedown. Gedeon is fighting it off but Mack persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gedeon's guard against the cage.

Gedeon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gedeon has managed to get both his arms back between Mack's legs - danger averted.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A little jabbing left from Gedeon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mack throws a leg kick but Gedeon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Mack has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Gedeon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mack moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gedeon is sitting in close to Mack's body. Mack has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gedeon is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gedeon is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mack.
