Phintanilyo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Phintanilyo darts in trying to clinch#TD# so Ellis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Phintanilyo wriggles free and stands up. Droga Phintanilyo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ellis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Phintanilyo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. #TD# Ellis drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ellis postures up and lands a big shot to Phintanilyo's brow. Ellis advances to half guard. Phintanilyo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Phintanilyo working hard to break the clinch. Zomer keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Phintanilyo's efforts to push away. Phintanilyo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zomer has him pressed against the cage.#BC# Phintanilyo breaks from the clinch.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. King lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Zayan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jab by King. King throws a right hand that Zayan ducks under and follows up with a left that Zayan also avoids with ease. Zayan is looking for the big counter here. King misses with a few strikes there.

MyCock throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. I was talking to Zayan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Zayan managing to block the knees to the body from Dukes.
Dukes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Dukes effectively controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Dukes gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dukes to score with a decent uppercut. Dukes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gardner wants to get back to full guard. Gardner is controlling Bunghole's trapped leg to prevent Bunghole from advancing to side control. Gardner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gardner. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gardner holds on and takes a little breather. Gardner wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gardner keeping moving, preventing Bunghole from controlling successfully. #T1# Gardner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #SUB2# Gardner has his foot on Bunghole's thigh.
