Ashbrock is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Herzing is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Herzing is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ashbrock wants to get back to his feet.#T1# Herzing creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ashbrock sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Zolghadr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ashbrock but Ashbrock pushes him off and we're back to square one. Zolghadr getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Zolghadr fails with the takedown. Zolghadr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ashbrock avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ashkon Zolghadr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zolghadr lands a jab-cross combination. Ashbrock throws a right and a left that both miss. Zolghadr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ashbrock misses with a few strikes there.

Ashbrock throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Zolghadr stumbling backwards into the cage! Zolghadr bounces back off the cage towards Ashbrock, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Ashbrock lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Ashbrock celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Shibata is pushing Urie up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Urie is trying to push Shibata away but Shibata has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC# Shibata breaks the clinch.

Morse is trying to escape the position but Leidy is controlling the position. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Leidy working the head and body with strikes. Morse is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#SUB# Leidy tries for a kimura but Morse is defending well. Leidy throws a strike aimed at the side of Morse's head but Morse avoids it well. A lull in the action here. Morse is looking for a sweep.#T3# Leidy controlling the position from side mount. Leidy grinds an elbow into Morse's temple. Leidy in side control, just content to control the action for now. #T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Leidy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Morse for as long as he can get away with. Morse tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Leidy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Morse is working to avoid the ground and pound but Leidy connects with a decent elbow. Leidy moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Leidy working away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Landon Leidy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2##CL# Leidy rushes Morse and presses him up against the cage. Leidy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Morse.
Leidy pushes off an throws an elbow but Morse leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Leidy can't break the clinch.
The referee calls for Leidy to work.
#TD# Leidy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morse can't fight it off and eventually Leidy manages to take the fight to the floor. Morse looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morse wants to sweep here but Leidy controlling him for the moment. Leidy showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #T1# Morse tries to land a sweep but no joy.
