Bologna not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Materla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bologna missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bologna is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Materla is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bologna is nestled in close to Materla, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bologna sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Materla defending well though. #SU# Bologna postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Materla to stand up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Materla goes for a double leg but Bologna avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bologna continues to drive forward. Bologna is looking for a counter combo. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Stone trying to pass the guard but Gamble defending well. Gamble moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gamble is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stone is controlling him. #ES2# Gamble has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Stone has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.#T1# Stone is pressed up against the cage. Gamble has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stone down to the mat. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jones has hold of Bologna's hands but Bologna slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.#SUB2# Bologna is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work. Bologna slips a nice elbow through Jones's hands, connecting with Jones's forehead. Bologna drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bologna lands a nice short elbow. Bologna working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bologna takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jones has hold of Bologna's hands but Bologna slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
