He thinks about going to the ground but Yilmaz looks back up at him and smiles so Albertini waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Albertini throws an uppercut from hell that sends Yilmaz clean off his feet! He's out cold! Albertini stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

#R1# Grant jabs at Santos's body. Santos is looking to chop away at Grant's legs. Grant throws a jab but it's blocked by Santos. As Grant tries to get set, Santos tries to push him back and clinch up but Grant manages to avoid the attempt. Santos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Grant lands a jab-cross combination. Grant darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Grant lunges at Santos with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Santos's hand. Grant bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Santos's head backwards. Santos ducks under a wild hook from Grant.#TD# Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Grant's guard. Grant is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Santos dives into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#REVB##SUB# Santos has an Americana. Grant didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Santos is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Santos hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

We've been hearing reports that Ford has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kareem Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ford tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adaev was well out of range. Poor timing from Ford. Adaev shoots in for a takedown but Ford shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ford throws a lazy uppercut
#TD2# and Adaev counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Adaev. Adaev wants to control from the top but Ford keeps moving. Adaev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Copes. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Rodriguez is looking to take a break and control but Yilmaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yilmaz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rodriguez.

Santos has his takedown stuffed and Erickson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos misses with a takedown and Erickson scores with a counter punch that sends Santos to the canvas!
