Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. #TD# and Stanton counters with a shoot takedown. Klarenet fights it but they end up in guard. Stanton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Klarenet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Klarenet looks winded! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stanton controls from within his opponent's guard. Stanton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T1# Stanton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Klarenet for as long as he can get away with.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tasis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Buffs has Tasis pressed against the cage, preventing Tasis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Buffs lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tasis. Buffs lands a hook to the side of the head. Tasis misses with an elbow over the top. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buffs makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.#TD# Buffs tightens his grip and picks Tasis up, before dumping him to the ground. Tasis manages to land in guard. Buffs postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Buffs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Buffs controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#T1##SUB# Buffs drops back looking for a leg! Tasis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tasis manages to kick Buffs off! Buffs jumps back into Tasis's guard. #SUB# Buffs drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Buffs seems to have locked his on tight now - Tasis screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Buffs, as he picks up the win!
