#R1##CL2# Ford fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gruber, pushing him back against the cage. Ford works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
#BC# Gruber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gruber lands a nice shot to the body.
Ford wants to land a leg kick but Gruber is out of range. Ford attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Ford fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gruber manages to avoid it. It looked like Gruber wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Gruber takes one to the side of the head.
Ford uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gruber. Ford now looks to counter with a shot at the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gruber on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ford. Ford obviously looking to wear him down.
Gruber cracks Ford with an open hand slap. Ford fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Ford throws a lazy right hand but Gruber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.#T1# Ford tries to work over Gruber's front leg with a kick but Gruber checks it. Ford missing with a left hand there. Gruber was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. We've been informed that Ford has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Gruber avoids the head kick by Ford.

#CL2# and Ford moves into the clinch. Gruber keeps control of Ford as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. #BC# Gruber breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ford misses the body punch and Gruber counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Gruber has been working on his boxing with his coaches at NYC Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. Gruber keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ford. Ford chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gruber can pounce on him.
Ford shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Gruber lands with a hook. Ford tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #T2# Ford ducks under a wild hook from Gruber. Ford misses with a left hand and Gruber counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gruber is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ford. Gruber dips to his left and cracks Ford with an uppercut! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gruber swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gruber with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gruber tries to land a front kick but Ford steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ford throws a head kick that misses. Ford moves away from the strike by Gruber. Ford tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gruber half committed to a counter leg kick.#T3# Gruber lands a head shot. and Gruber scores with a counter punch that sends Ford to the canvas! Gruber smells blood - he's punishing Ford with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ford has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

#R1# Chan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gruber connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Chan scrambles back to his feet.#CUT#It looks like Lee Chan has been cut. Gruber throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
#CL2# Chan rushes Gruber and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gruber lands an uppercut. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gruber creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Chan is trying to stall.
Gruber using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Chan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gruber digs a right hand underneath Chan's ribcage. Chan let out a lung full of air as it connected. Chan looks to throw an elbow but misses. Gruber blocks an elbow strike. A short left from Gruber. A short left from Gruber. #ROC#Chan is rocked! Gruber lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Chan is still on wobbly legs! Can Gruber finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gruber has Chan pressed against the cage.

#R1# Preston throws an overhand right that lands on Frost's shoulder, as Frost tries to avoid the shot. Preston misses with a lunging right hand
#TD2# and Frost counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Preston is refusing to be controlled, as Frost sits in half guard. Preston wants to improve his position but Frost is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Frost seems content to control. Frost uses his free foot to push down on Preston's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Preston. Frost controlling from mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost trying to control but Preston is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frost sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!#T1# Preston tries to hold on but Frost postures up. Frost misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Preston's head. Daerji shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gruber counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daerji is defended easily by Gruber. Daerji tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gruber connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daerji bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Daerji looks like he wants to counter punch here. Gruber lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gruber. The fight stays on the outside here - Daerji looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#T1# Gruber connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jab, cross, leg kick. #R1# Chong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gruber. That one must have hurt. Chong looks winded! Gruber scoring well with a low kick there.
Gruber digs a good body shot into Chong's ribs. Gruber tests Chong's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gruber throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nice uppercut there from Gruber. Chong is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Gruber just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Chong has gone limp and this one is over!

Veto jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Canada from any more punishment! Canada complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Mil with a poor takedown #KD2# and Dean counters with a crisp one two that drops Mil! Dean thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mil to his feet! Mil is in big trouble!#KD2# Dean feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mil sprawling to the canvas! Mil rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dean finish him?!
#ROC2#Mil is rocked! Dean looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dean comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Oh Mil is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mil shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dean but Dean pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Mil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mil is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Dean doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Mil crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Mil's bad books for that mishap!

I was talking to Carpio's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Machado misses with a body punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mil not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mil slows the pace down in half guard. #T1# Let's hope that Mil has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mil is looking to take a break and control but Popper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mil thows a huge punch but Popper dodges it nicely.
